As the title says the blog is back! However, this time with a difference!
Those that don’t know, and that’s probably most, is that my blog used to be a technical resource with problem solving articles and whilst it generated a fair amount of traffic from the tech community I didn’t feel as though it achieved a great deal apart from helping a handful of people on a Dynamics NAV issue I once debugged some 5 or so years ago.
As my business grew the blog became less and less active and most of the articles became out of date to the point where I think the last update I made was at least 3 years ago if not longer.
Over the past few years I’ve been “lucky” enough to grow my business to a size where I now travel the world looking for new opportunities, speaking at events and still getting stuck into the tech pieces from time to time. I put lucky in quotes as it’s the best word I can think of but in all honesty there is no luck to it, it’s an incredible amount of hard work and sacrifices over a number of years that has got things to where they are now.
Having just turned 28 (Which most people are shocked at as apparently I am at least 35!), I looked back at my path to where I am now and my passion is how education needs to change to suit each and every individual and that the same 30 seats in a classroom approach with a teacher reading from a mundane book that’s been adopted for the past 100 odd years just isn’t the best practice with today’s technology. Ultimately that’s why I’m re-instating my blog as I want to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs and assist them in any way that I can.
The next few posts will be me re-visting a few very busy months with things I had already written but not yet published as the platform did not exist but I intend to make these much more regularly going forwards! These include a trip to China, business expansion in the New York and Maidstone, a new dream car, a search for new staff, a new portal.. and where do I end? It’s only on a re-cap that I realise exactly how much is going on hence writing a post at gone 11PM on a Friday night!
So, if you happen to come across this blog and are looking to get your own idea off the ground whether you are 12 or 60 get in touch!
